Cork has many high-quality hotels offering lodging at various price ranges. There are budget hotels starting at €50 per day, and high-end hotels for about €175. Students can stay at the University's residence halls or in one of the student hostels approved by the university student service.

Hotels and Accommodation

International students normally come to Cork a few weeks before the start of term, finishing the registration procedure and scouting for flats or dorms. School leavers usually arrive with their families to help them get settled. The Cork area has many hotels ideal for such purposes, all within easy walking distance of the university campus.

The Hayfield Manor, Cork's first five-star hotel, is a five-minute walk from the university. It offers large luxury rooms with top-class amenities, including an 18-metre pool and leisure rooms. A cheaper alternative is the Kingsley Hotel, about fifteen minutes from the campus on foot. Located on a riverbank, this hotel is famous for its friendly staff and excellent service.

Student Accommodation

During the term, students can stay in one of five residence complexes in the campus. Victoria Lodge offers three- to five-bedroom apartments with cosy furnishings and kitchen facilities. The Spires and the University Hall, managed by the university student service, are designed specifically for student life, with computer desks, bookcases, and study areas.
